This sensitive, beautiful portrait of John Mellencamp was taken at the photo session for his 1980 album, "Nothin' Matters and What If It Did." he was called John Cougar
before this record. A great concept for his cover, but poor execution by the photographer...sorry to say. Regardless, John looks terrific in this shot.
